A pioneer in recycling construction throughout the United States and around the globe, Recycled Materials Company, Inc. (RMCI) has tied producing recycled aggregate with utilizing value engineering to gain acceptance from government agencies. In addition to offering construction services, RMCI takes recyclable rubble and, with it, produces specification recycled aggregates.
RMCI was started in 1987 with one portable recycling plant and five employees. Today, the company employs 70 managers, supervisors, and craftsmen and operates a fleet of portable and mobile recycling plants.
When considering a new project, RMCI management asks "what can be recycled on this project or will this project consume our recycled aggregate?" The process of utilizing and producing quality specification recycled aggregate is an economic and environmental benefit to communities. RMCI is nearing 20 million tons of aggregate production; material that was diverted from landfill waste streams.
RMCI construction projects range from excavating or recycling a single residence basement foundation to completing the "World's Largest Recycle Project". An affiliation with in-house Recycled Materials Consulting (RMC), offers civil engineering and surveying services to RMCI clients. . Most recently, RMCI launched affiliate company, Recycled Materials Company (RMC) of California, which expands the services offered to our clients.
